Located on a sand and gravel beach (no mudflats here!), the Beach House at Tyee has its own private boat ramp perfect for kayaks or small boats, and its own mooring buoy, which can handle much larger vessels.
Crabbing and shrimping (in season) are good right out front, and salmon fishing (in season) is just a few minutes away by boat. There is parking for your car and boat trailer.
The Beach House is fully furnished, with luxury linens, a fully-equipped kitchen, and an outdoor gas grill. The Beach House can sleep up to 4 people.
The upstairs bedroom has a queen-size bed and a private balcony with spectacular view of Port Susan Bay and the Cascade Mountains. The balcony has two chairs and a small table, the perfect place for a morning cup of coffee or a nightcap as twilight turns into a starry night.
Downstairs in the living room, another set of sliding glass doors opens to an expansive deck with a table and four chairs. Step off the deck and walk down the boat ramp and you are on the beach. The living room features a sumptuous leather sofa that folds out into a comfortable full-size bed.
Curl up with a good book, walk the beach gathering shells and agates. Watch for whales, seals, otters, seabirds and bald eagles.
Water ski, swim or go boating or kayaking. You will find lots to do, from golfing to gallery-hopping, and the Beach House has books to read and games to play, as well as a flat-screen TV with high-def cable. There's even a DVD and VCR player, and a selection of movies. The Beach House also has free WiFi.
Or, to really get the feel of island living, leave the laptop at home and just do nothing for a couple of days.
